My Baby Girl Is All Grown Up

Is it too early to say that we've made it out of the doldrums of winter? I wouldn't say it was painful to keep a 12-16 month old inside every day, but it wasn't exactly fun. Now that we've experienced some days in the 50s, we can't wait for this weather to become the norm and not the exception. Alexis thinks she owns the world now, now that she's mobile and fairly steady on her feet. She loves to have the freedom to walk outside and make her own decisions as to where to go. As many of you could realize with me as her father, she doesn't really like to be told what to do. She's now independent and doesn't really have time for any parental involvement in her life. Bad sign for things to come?

Here's some pics to catch you up on our big 16 1/2 month old. Can you believe it's been that long?

She'd rather not wear clothes. When she gets her top off, she normall rubs her budda belly. I should get video of it as she gets a kick out of doing this every time.
Jaimelee's cat (notice how I don't take responsibility for this thing), doesn't stand a chance with Alexis. Alexis had actually just jumped off the top rope and is now going in for the pin. Amazingly, Jez made it out of this death grip and has lived to see another day.

Our neighbors have been great sharing their toys with us. Here Alexis is in their back yard going sledding. She had a blast!

During February break we thought it was time to get rid of our disgusting carpet. In the process we thought we should give the room a new coat of paint, too. Next few pictures show the progress.

After a visit to Kelsey's, Jaimelee had to build Alexis her very own castle tent thingy. Within two days, it was complete.

Alexis enjoying some raisin bread. Even with her bouts of sickness, her appetite has been strong as ever. Can you tell?

She's such a big girl that she likes to take her purse on our shopping trips.

Buzzzzz, says the bumblebee.
Taken on St. Patty's day. She rocked it hard until about 7:00pm. She's a party animal.

Like I said, she's a party animal...

Again, one of our neighbors toys. Her right hand every so often hit the gas and she'd get jerked forward. She thinks this is the coolest toy ever!

Auowwww!!!
Night, night, Lexi.
Yeah, I mess with my kid. Don't hate me, I get bored.
