Transformation

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything at all, but we lost our camera for a while and really haven't been doing much of anything since the holidays. We got bored this weekend and decided that our living room needed a little renovation. So, after a little paint and some nice fake wood, we have a new living space.

I promise to take some pictures of the little one in the coming days/weeks and send those along, too. Until then, here's our weekend project:

First day, simply clearing the couches away from the walls so that we could paint.

After day one...
Had to then rip up the carpet and move all of our furniture into the dining room (our house was a disaster for two days). Found out after moving the carpet that our foundation had cracked and sunk a couple of inches. Luckily, Ron was here and new exactly what to do. Unfortunately, the concrete that he put down had issues drying and we had to bring space heaters in on Monday morning to finish the drying process.

I was able to start around 3:00 on Monday afternoon. The first three rows were nearly impossible, but then it got easier. I thought I would be done around 5:00, so that's when I decided to take this picture.

Finished just in time for Alexis' bedtime. After putting the floor boards back on this morning, I was finally done. It's much nicer than before, but now we need an area rug and a bed for my four-legged daughter.
